The Equal Opportunities Committee (CPO) of the Department of Mathematics (DM) is responsible for promoting and fostering debate on equality and gender issues. The CPO was established in 2017.

The DM regulations approved on 23/10/2018, in Article 1, established the Department’s commitment to removing barriers to gender equality and defined the role of the CPO in Article 15.

The DM is committed to removing the obstacles that prevent gender balance within its bodies and roles.”

“Art. 15 – Committees appointed by the Director [...]
f) Equal Opportunities Committee (CPO). The committee proposes to the Department Council specific and strategic measures to achieve gender equality in scientific career paths, work, or study, within representative and decision-making bodies, and to promote the reconciliation of family and professional life. The committee is composed of faculty members, representatives of technical-administrative staff, students, PhD candidates, research fellows, and grant holders.”
